Advantages of carcass trawls are primarily achieved by means of localizing stress concentration lines and fixing up reinforced elements along them.
Carcass trawls a.с. 1003788 represent a set of clearance meshes ensuring resistance reduction, a broad range of mouth form changeability, and reduction in failure rate. Design of carcass trawls is based on elimination of negative impact of fish lines on disruption of netting regular pattern. This is achieved by concurrent operation of upper and side panels located along the slanting mesh as well as by transfer of base loads to reinforced elements in the net section. 82/384 м and 78/320 м trawls developed according to this principle have been introduced in the horse mackerel fishery in the Eastern Central Atlantic and the South-East Pacific. The 82/384 m trawl has become a prototype for trawls of Okun’ series (Perch).
